PINKSTEREN, God komt naar de aarde. De eerste keer dat Hij onder zijn volk in de tabernakel kwam wonen. De tweede keer dat Hij onder ons kwam wonen in een menselijk lichaam, en zoals Johannes zegt: “Wij hebben Zijn heerlijkheid aanschouwd, de heerlijkheid van de eniggeboren Zoon van God.” De derde keer kwam Hij met Zijn Heilige Geest op de Pinksterdag, en Hij komt nog steeds om mannen en vrouwen over de hele wereld te bewonen. De vierde keer zal Hij komen na de grote verdrukking en zal Hij regeren met een ijzeren staf, zonde en zondaars oordelen. Maar laten we niet vergeten dat de Heilige Geest niet alleen kwam om ons een goed gevoel te geven, maar om ons getuigen te maken van de verrezen Christus, en de hele wereld moet over Hem horen. Dus laten we ons overgeven aan de Heilige Geest en Hem toestaan ​​ons te gebruiken om zielen verlossing en God heerlijkheid te brengen. Voorwaartse christelijke soldaten. Mogen jullie allemaal een gezegend en inspirerend Pinksteren hebben.

Oprecht en hartelijk BEDANKT aan allen die hebben gereageerd op mijn verzoek om gebed. Het was zo opbouwend om te zien hoeveel vrienden we hebben en bij ons staan. Bedankt voor alle goede en bemoedigende opmerkingen. We vertrouwen erop dat God ons erdoorheen helpt, of zoals de psalmist zegt: “Hij zal onze gids zijn, zelfs tot in de dood.” Nogmaals bedankt en God zij met je en zegen en bewaar je, totdat we elkaar aan Jezus ‘voeten ontmoeten, en wat een dag zal dat zijn. Hallelujah.

VRAAG OM GEBED. Vorige week zei ik dat Marina niet gezond is. Sommigen vragen zich af wat er met haar aan de hand is. Marina heeft de ziekte van Alzheimer, de meest voorkomende vorm van dementie, waarvoor geen genezing bestaat. AD verandert de hersenen en veroorzaakt ernstig geheugenverlies, verwarring en andere symptomen, zie Google. Marina wilde niet dat mensen dit wisten, omdat er een stigma heerst rond geestelijke gezondheid. Deze mentaliteit is echter aan het veranderen, godzijdank. Elk jaar heeft hier in Canada één op de vijf mensen psychische problemen en één op de drie ouder dan 65 jaar. Ik heb mijn lieve vrouw verteld dat net zoals sommigen hartproblemen hebben, anderen problemen hebben met hun hersenen. Dit is niet haar schuld. Ze is erg zwak en uitgeput en raakt ontmoedigd en depressief. Daarom vraag ik mijn vrienden om voor ons te bidden, voor kracht en vrede. We blijven ons verheugen in de Heer en hebben een fantastische toekomst, maar we hebben kracht nodig voor het laatste stuk van de weg. Dit is echt serieus, ik heb tijdens mijn leven en bediening met veel problemen te maken gehad, maar dit is het moeilijkste van allemaal, bid alstublieft. Dank aan degenen die hebben gebeden. God zegene jullie allemaal.

PENTECOST, God coming down to earth. The first time He came to live among His people in the tabernacle. The second time He came to live among us in a human body, and as John says, “We beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten Son of God.” The third time, He came with His Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, and He still comes, to indwell men and women all over the world. The fourth time He will come after the great tribulation and He will rule with an iron rod, judging sin and sinners. The fifth time He will come and dwell with us on the new earth, and He will wipe away every tear from our eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain. Rev. 21. Hallelujah. But let’s remember, the Holy Spirit didn’t just come to make us feel good, but to make us witnesses of the risen Christ, and the whole world is needs to hear about Him. So, let’s yield to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to use us to bring salvation to souls and glory to God. Onward Christian soldiers. May you all have a blessed and inspiring Pentecost.

A sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU to all those who have responded to my request for prayer. It has been so uplifting to see how many friends we have and are standing with us. Thank you for all the good and encouraging comments. We are trusting God to carry us through, or as the Psalmist says, “He will be our guide, even unto death.” Thank you again and God be with you and bless and keep you, until we meet at Jesus’ feet, and what a day that will be. Hallelujah.

ASKING FOR PRAYER. Last week I mentioned Marina not being well. Some are wondering what is wrong with her. Marina has Alzheimer’s Disease, the most common type of dementia, for which there is no cure. AD changes the brain and causes severe memory loss, confusion and other symptoms, see Google. Marina did not want people to know this as there is a stigma around mental health. However, this mentality has been changing, thank God. In any given year, here in Canada one out of every five has mental problems, and one out of three older than 65. I have told my dear wife that just as some have heart problems, other have problems with their brain. This is no fault of her. She is very weak and warn out and gets discouraged and depressed. That’s why I am asking my friends to pray for us, for strength and peace. We continue to rejoice in the Lord and have a fantastic future, but we need strength for the last stretch of the road. This is really serious, I have dealt with lots of problems during my life and ministry, but this tops it all, please pray. Thank you to those who have been praying for us.

People have asked how we are doing, seeing Marina’s condition and my continual hip pain, especially when walking and standing in the kitchen making a meal, and also at night disturbing my sleep. I do not want to boast, no, but yes, I do want to boast, not in myself, but in the grace of God. It is truly as the hymn writer wrote, “He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater, He sendeth more strength when the labors increase; to added affliction He addeth His mercy; to multiplied trials, His multiplied peace.” I say, yes, amen, and I want to encourage everyone who is having serious problems because of Covid-19, or who is ill and/or in pain, or has other difficulties, trust God and keep your eyes on Him. One of my most favorite texts is Is.26:3, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind (thinking) is stayed on You.” Marina and I sing every day, “One day at a time, dear Jesus, that’s all we’re asking you.” And sometimes it’s just one moment at a time. So, my dear friends, keep the faith, soon the Lord is coming, hallelujah. (2Corintiens 12:9).

In a previous post I mentioned that Marina is not well. Today at noon she had some pain and said, “What’s this going to be like when I get old!” She’s 84. . We had a good chuckle together.
