Last week Wednesday, April 18, coming home on the expressway, I was in the left lane and a truck in the right lane. All at once a huge chunk of ice flew from the truck and smashed my windshield. I had glass all over me, but I was not hurt. Luckily there were no cars behind me as I braked hard and then slowly pulled over to the right shoulder and stopped, got out of the car and shook off all the slivers of glass. I was able to drive home looking through a few cracks in my windshield. It could have been much worse. PLEASE everyone, take the ice of your car or truck before leaving home, I could have been killed. — in Elmira, Ontario.

A special thank you to all those who prayed for me and/or sent messages during my ordeal in the hospital. On Jan. 8 I had hip replacement surgery, which went very well, so well, that I was able to go home the next day. But a couple days later the wound started bleeding. Several trips to the hospital, and to keep the story short, last week Thursday the surgeon decide to operate again. No infecting was found, everything was cleaned and put together. Tuesday afternoon I came home, exhausted, but happy. There has been no bleeding anymore, praise God. In spite of a lot of pain and discomfort, I had a wonderful time in the hospital, fellowshipping with fellow Christians, witnessing and enjoying the extremely good care of the hospital staff. Please pray that there will now be a speedy recovery, after two operations in a very short period. God be praised.

Lord willing, on January 8 I will have surgery for a hip replacement. I have an awful lot of pain at present and get up at night 3 to 5 times to walk around. Becoming exhausted from lack of sleep, prayer would be appreciated. Thank you.

P.S. I had been told that there is a long waiting list, I might not get in until next year September, but a new surgeon move into a city close by and she told me she can do surgery in 3 weeks, praise the Lord.

In de wil van de Heer hoop ik op 8 januari een nieuwe heup te krijgen. Ik heb heel veel pijn op het ogenblik en moet ‘s nachts 3 – 5 keer opstaan en rondlopen. Ik begin heel moe te worden van gebrek aan slaap, gebed gewaardeerd. Dank u.

P.S. Er was mij gezegd dat er een lange wachtlijst is en dat ik waarschijnlijk niet geholpen zou kunnen worden tot volgend jaar september, maar een nieuwe chirurg is in een dichtbijgelegen stad komen wonen en werken en zij kan mij in 3 weken operen, geloofd zij de Heer.
