MARINA’S wonderful departure.

On Monday, September 4, Marina and our daughter Rini, were outside enjoying the beautiful sunny weather. The next morning, Tuesday, the workers helped Marina from her bed into her wheelchair, but she couldn’t sit up, nor hold her head up, so they put her back in bed where she slept all day. The next day the doctor came and asked what I wanted them to do. I asked to please not prolong her life but let nature take its course. He agreed with that and said that they would keep her comfortable. He added that it would be a matter of weeks. On Thursday, a lady friend came to be with Marina for a while. I came in at about 12.15pm. I talked to Marina and she opened her eyes, but didn’t look at me but rather looked upwards and smiled, without saying anything. Rini stayed overnight from Thursday to Friday. I came on Friday morning at about 9am. Marina was still sleeping and breathing heavily. I asked Rini whether she could go outside for a short while to get some fresh air and allow Marina and I to be alone. After she had left, I talked to Marina again, but no response, just heavy breathing. I took my phone and called our daughter Lily in Belgium, facetime. I held the phone up to Marina’s face and told her that Lily wanted to talk to her, no response. Then Lily started talking to Marina and told her how much she loved her and other things. Marina’s eyes opened, but she wasn’t looking at Lily, but again looking upwards. Lily told her that she was going to heaven and would get a great reward. And then, Marina spoke and said “Ja,” (yes), closed her eyes and stopped breathing, she was gone, gone to enter her heavenly home. Lily and I both believe that she didn’t say, Ja, to what Lily had said, but that an angel had come to get Marina. The angel may have said something like, “Marina, are you ready to come?” And Marina said “Ja” and was gone. Praise the Lord, what a way to go and what a memory to cherish until I also enter that heavenly Home. Hallelujah.

Halleluja. Ga jij er ook bij zijn?
